Loss of our Beloved Sister, Carolyn

This last Saturday, December 29, 2012, our beloved sister, Carolyn Jones, left her physical body for the fields of Heaven.

She was a dedicated student of A Course in Miracles, a devoted parishioner of Sedona Interfaith Fellowship, and a follower of all things spiritual, which included a deep and driving desire for community.  Her eclectic tastes in metaphysics led her down many interesting paths of discovery, and she was often full of delight in her latest find.  I was privileged to have shared many beautiful moments with Carolyn, and will miss our times of meditation and prayer together.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor her on Sunday, January 20, 2013, 4:00 p.m., at the Circle House.  Call 928.282.0293 for more information.

One response to “Loss of our Beloved Sister, Carolyn”

  1. In the spring of 2003 I met Carolyn one Sunday at Sedona Interfaith Fellowship. And from there I was blessed with a succeding ten years of knowing her. But more then knowing her she was my beloved . Being so together in heart ,mind and soul we met life as it came to be for us.

In our search to know God and to find any light that was His we shared the reading of many books and movies. Listened to classical music..which Carolyn prefered. We read St. Teresa of Avilla, Somerset Maughm, P. Yogananda, parts of the Kabbalah, angel documentaries and shared little things which told us much….
Like myself Carolyn kept matters close to herself in alternate company. Carolyn is a Christian, before all that she studied of the eclectic.

On one of our trips out of Sedona we both were baptised. As the covenant was established we were emersed and pledged to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And here we had taken a covenent.. taking priority above any other study, pledge, event, happening in the past or future. Truly, Carolyn is in the relms of heaven with Christ Jesus, as the gospel speaks of Him.
We were ‘to be’ long before we met in Sedona. And having a mission, the seeds of which will bear fruit in Christ, in season…. I miss her more then I’m able to measure. However God has richly blessed me through bringing me to her.

    George
