Sunday Gatherings Begin Again

713774We have begun holding Sunday Gatherings again! They are being held in a small meeting room at my office, Weddings In Sedona, at 10:00 a.m. Your presence would be warmly welcomed!

The Sunday before Thanksgiving, we  had an intimate Gathering, looking at Thanksgiving and Gratitude.  I shared the perspectives found in the Song of Prayer, an extension of the principles of A Course in Miracles; Paul’s letter to the Philippians, in which he describes being “content” or “thankful” (depending on the translation) in whatever circumstance comes his way; and how neuroscience is exploring the place of gratitude in the healing process as well as how it affects brain patterns.  Our sharing time was lively and insightful, and Jon shared one of his songs, “All the Angels.”  I think we walked away feeling inspired and uplifted!

This last Sunday, the first Sunday in Advent on the Christian calendar, we found ourselves exploring what it means to have Christ-consciousness born in us – how is it possible that something we already possess could be “born”? Inspired by one of our Chicken Soup stories, we looked at how we spend our time waiting – waiting in lines, waiting for special events, waiting for shipments to arrive, waiting to become holy. Why wait, when in every moment we have the opportunity to be holy, our true Identity? We left with a sense of commitment, I think, to be all that we are meant to be.

Stay tuned for what’s up this coming Sunday – we’d love to see you there, taking this journey together!

And mark your calendar for our Christmas Eve Gathering and Community Dinner, Thursday, December 24. The Gathering will begin at 6:00 p.m., in the Sedona Room at the Sedona Creative Life Center. All are welcome!
