4 DAYS OF AFFIRMATIONS FOR NONVIOLENCE IN OUR WORLD

Day 62, April 1:

 Today, I acknowledge every human being’s fundamental right to justice, equity and equality.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.  We are caught in an inescapable network or mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.  Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”  Those who practice nonviolence cannot close our eyes to injustice or cruelty.  We are here to be a witness for justice and compassion.  Are you willing to stand up for truth by your presence, your words and your actions today?

We learn to practice nonviolence one step at a time, one choice at a time, one day at a time. This is how each of us, in our own way, moves the world in the direction of peace. This is the Season for Nonviolence.
