What Does It Really Mean to Forgive?

Susan Promo Photo 2010As I mentioned in my previous post, this Advent season has me thinking a lot about what Jesus came here to teach. So we have been looking at some of what I think are his most challenging and important lessons for us: love of the stranger and love of our enemies, what we can learn from the Beatitudes – blessed are the meek, the poor, those that hunger and thirst after righteousness or justice.

And this Sunday, we’ll take a look at the spiritual principle of forgiveness. Perhaps we all feel we understand what it means to forgive. But are we practicing it each and every day? Think how absolutely wonderful we would feel if we were letting go of upsets and grievances as they came up! Wow, I can only begin to imagine what that would be like!

Let’s inspire one another to reach for the highest in ourselves. I invite you to take a little time out of your week – just an hour or so – to recharge and remember. Come to our intimate Sunday Gathering to invite the spirit to move within. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
